Note on .PDF Conversion
Since we prefer online resume attachments in .pdf format, click the link below to learn about conversion options.
  • Converting File Formats - click to open

    If you are using Microsoft Word or similar, use the colorful Start circle (usually in the top left). Click to bring down the menu where you will choose "Save As..." (not "Save"), and "PDF or XPF" should be one of the options. Choose this.
    In the dialogue box give it a title such as your name + _resume. The 'Save as type:' should be set as .pdf. If not, choose it.
    If given the option, choose Minimum size and click Publish.
    Help with this from Microsoft.

  • BLS Provider CPR (Formally Healthcare Provider)- American Heart Association (AHA) approved 2 year training and card
  • Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED- American Heart Association (AHA) approved coarse specific for daycare providers, construction/office workers, educators, coaches, and other lay rescuers

What does this mean?  There is a copious amount of data available via word of mouth and the media regarding recommendations for health and healthcare.  Knowing the differences between verifiable and medically sound information and unproven, .. and sometimes downright dangerous uses and remedies means knowing how to think critically about how the process of science works.
Remember, Steve Jobs’ ultimate regret was that he didn’t go with ‘Western’ (i.e. following the process of science and critical thinking) medicine to treat his cancer.  He died just a few days after stating this.
